A pure blue field across the whole screen. Blue is where a cool corner or an uneven backlight tends to give itself away, and it is the field on which a failed blue sub-pixel becomes obvious.

What is a blue screen test for?
It fills the display with pure blue so only the blue sub-pixels are driven. That makes a failed blue sub-pixel show as a dark dot and helps reveal uneven areas, particularly corners that lean cool. It has nothing to do with the Windows blue error screen.
My TV shows a blue screen by itself. What does that mean?
That is usually the set telling you there is no picture on the selected input, not a fault in the panel. Check that the right input is chosen and that the source device is on, or work through the no signal guide.
Why do the corners of my screen look blue?
Uneven backlighting or panel tint, both common on LCDs. It is most visible on dark and neutral scenes. Mild tint is normal; if it is strong enough to notice in ordinary viewing, judge it with the uniformity test while the set is still returnable.
